Newly Renovated
We have been meeting for about 5 yrs now. What a surprise it was to walk in and see the new carpets and furniture at Feather Canyon.
While it is no longer purple and green, my favourites, the bold new colours are gorgeous!

What is Common Threads
Starting in March 2011, we will be partnering together ( First Baptist Church of Paradise, Congregation Harei Yeshua, and Carenet, plus a few others from the Paradise Community).
In Jewish tradition, a Chaver is a companion, a friend or colleague, some one who brings a listening ear, a compassionate presence and a caring heart.A chaver accompanies some one on their journey "Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed." Ecclesiastes 4v9 (NLT)
Christianity teaches in Titus 2 for the older women to teach the younger women.
By joining our resources together to benefit our community, we look forward to seeing the young people in our community succeed.
Wednesday afternoons at CareNet on Clark Rd in addition to the cooking lessons already in place, knitting will be being taught to the young women. Starting with simple projects and adding skills and techniques, teaching them basic skills and showing the girls that they can do more than they think can.
The other aspect will be on 1st and 3rd Mondays, creating a non-craft specific time of fellowship. Whatever your craft or hobby, you are invited to come.
Women will be there with sewing, crocheting, knitting, embroidery, digital photo editing, etc...
More will be announced!
